The Studio
Derek is working inside a custom-built voice booth crafted with solid oak and pine, organic cotton fiber batting, mass loaded vinyl, SSP green tape, staggered studs & 2” Auralex foam padding.
On the technical side, you’ll see the classic Rode NT1a microphone here, but he’s now using the Sennheiser MK416. Also available is a Neumann U87ai in combination with a Symmetrix 528e processor, into a PreSonus Audiobox. His recording and editing software of choice is Audition cs6.
Source Connect, Skype or phone patch will allow you to listen-in while Derek records your audio. Request this option at the time of booking.
Derek’s studio has been certified by the Society of Accredited Voice Over Artists (SAVOA).
